This is a picture of a tool used in this research. Called a "Speak IT", it is a kit that includes foam core boards from which to make communication boards and a set of standard photographs likely to be useful across individual patients and related to specific contexts found in the daily routine of
typical residences (e.g. meal times, bathing, visit to doctor, etc.), colored markers and temporary adhesive. This photo shows the kit open, with a pile of photos inside.
