Technical Assistance for NIDRR Grantees
Looking for help identifying utilization models or planning for utilization outcomes? A part of the RUSH Project mission is to help NIDRR grantees envision utilization strategies. Accordingly, RUSH serves as a resource to NIDRR grantees, providing guidance in the form individualized technical assistance and training in order to lead researchers to functional, practical visions of utilization.

NIDRR projects may request either on-site or off-site technical assistance. Informational materials are assembled in a variety of accessible formats to help researchers structure utilization activities and measure outcomes, and the results of each session are compiled into a summative report detailing the progress and success of the consultation and identifying any continuing issues or obstacles to the project’s utilization goals. Confidential requests for assistance are always accepted.

On-site Technical Assistance Consultations
In the case of an on-site technical assistance request, a Memorandum of Agreement between RUSH and the NIDRR grantee will be drafted through preliminary discussion of the goals and expectations of the session. The Memorandum details the responsibilities of each party as well as any appropriate follow-up activities. RUSH technical assistance is conducted at no cost to the NIDRR grantee. In the event that any financial expenditure is warranted on the part of the grantee, it is written into the Memorandum before the consultation commences.

Interested NIDRR-supported projects may request on-site workshops, seminar presentations at annual meetings, technical assistance, and training sessions. RUSH will travel to the NIDRR project’s facilities to do training and project assessment for appropriate utilization planning and measurement. RUSH may organize group technical assistance sessions if feasible.
